Read somewhere that putting a few Tums tablets in the planting hole for tomatoes will help with blossom end rot (the calcium). Has anyone tried that? I'm at wits end trying to solve the BER problem on my tomato plants every year.
@thegardendude If you're still getting new fruit, you may have time to get a fix in yet this year. I have baked egg shells just to kill any bacteria and mixed them in a blender with a little water. Add mixture to enough water to water as usual. Fairly immediate effect on protecting new growth - does not cure fruit already grown.
