@freezed00 I think this is a long way of saying “anaerobic exercise” or “strength training.” No?
@virginiaheffernan Turns out you’re not far off — isometric exercises like planking and wall squats that contract muscles are better at lowering blood pressure than exercises that stretch muscles, like running, cycling, etc. Weird.
@virginiaheffernan It was the “exercise without movement” part that threw me. A friend suggested that’s what Mitch was doing the other day. (What, too soon? 🙂)
