I’m sure huffpost knew what they’re implying. In truth he’s vowing to continue his presidential run from prison if necessary. The headline on their actual article is clearer: “Trump Vows To Run For President From Prison If Convicted [https://www.huffpost.com/entry/donald-trump-still-run-if-convicted-sentenced_n_64c3f507e4b024f8ebc89d53]”

This “my political opponent should be in JAIL!” which Trump himself popularized, is dumb. He’s an old, wealthy, national figure…it’s really really unlikely he goes to jail, even if found guilty.

That’s not the only way a person can be punished, and it shouldn’t be the bar you have in your head for whether or not he got appropriately punished.

He won’t stop it. Knowing Trump, he’ll believe that running from prison will help his chances.

Knowing his voters, it most likely will.
