I just spent 20 minutes writing out a response to a thread in the reddit app, just about to hit submit and it crashes - Lemmy.world

Never again.

Lemmy isn’t much better! I still get “you have to pick a language” error messages on the app and when using the browser I get server errors all the time.
The difference being that one is a system held together by volunteers, spit and floss, dreams and hopes, the other is a major website that pays people real world money to prevent shit from happening. (also, don’t reddit)

pays people real world money

Tell that to the mods!

Well yes. There are people who receive money from reddit in exchange for services rendered, making reddit a legitimate company that can be held to higher standards. And then there are the mods (who, as we all know are le ghey) who need to be protected from this fact of reality at all costs.
