Luna Macrosystems✡️🤖🏳️⚧️#AskFedi since there were so many great suggestions on my last server hardware post: What's a good NAS/JBOD board? There are many on the market advertised for such especially in the SBC space, but they tend to have few SATA ports or PCIE lanes.
I use a flashed IBM raid card as a giant HBA/etc SAS to SATA splitter today, and need the ability to have at least 16 drives active simultaneously.
ECC would be nice, but not required. ARM is fine but needs solid mainline Linux support (been burned by that with SBCs before with patches that aren't upstreamed). x86 also fine. IPMI or serial greatly appreciated.
Ideas? 😅
