I know someone who’s done it many times but a cat only has so many lives. It looks like an e cigarette so one basically just pretends it is, placing it in one’s carry-on alongside the other liquids, battery detached. But what happens if you get caught?

depends on where you got caught if you got caught. i reckon local laws would apply

Many airports have public statements now that clarify that they aren’t looking for THC, and others have made it clear that they simply throw it out. I’ve done it dozens of times, this is a low risk act. Now flying with actual flower…., that goes smoothly especially if you have a smell proof bag ($12 on Amazon) and you’re also good to go but that has higher risk.
