My public library is so good. I just walked in and borrowed a language program (Pimsleur Cantonese audio CDs) that costs $500 if you buy it (better than any online course); 3 jazz vinyls, 6 DVDs of stuff I know I can’t easily get from streamers.

If I was short on time I could have added all those to my holds list yesterday and they would put them all in one place so I can just check out. Easy.

#SFPL is so important to me!

I’m also a member of San Jose Public Library. Any CA resident can sign up for SJPL online. As a member of SJPL you get access to Coursera including certified programs (though the certs just say ‘California library user’ instead of your name, but still pretty cool) through this state program. Somehow, San Francisco is not on the list.

SFPL gives you access to Udemy and LinkedInLearning and O’Reilly and more. (Check the eLearning page) but I personally prefer Coursera, I find that I am able to complete the programs there and the interface and content is slightly better
@skinnylatte i still have my sfpl library card from 2nd grade 💕 so many online resources people don't realize the library provides!
