@sayonaraminasan @solidbatman that shouldn't be the case unless they are on an instance that is set to 'reject media' (e.g. misskey.io for not moderating lolicon but being too big to warrant a full block since they're mostly Japanese users who have a different cultural view of lolicon).
Can you point me at some posts where you expect to see media but don't?

Same folks as sakurajima.moe, who we're very good friends with (and even share a relay with) but Firefish instead of Mastodon
We're very close with them, and even hang out in the same discord server to share moderation and administration info. They're good people with a very similar vibe and moderation policies
