@jerry

Is there a delay in accounts being verified? I signed up for https://infosec.pub/login and setup a login.

I still can't login even though I verified my email address.

Login - Infosec.Pub

@mvilain there shouldn’t be - lemmy has had some issues that require some database level tweaks to fix failed registration attempts
@jerry Still can't login. I don't get a "I forgot my password" email either. Is there a way to scrub the database of my account creation so I can start over?
@mvilain sorry - been in meetings. Let me get your account fixed.
@mvilain it wasn't the problem I thought it was - your account is fully active. I saw an email delivered to you earlier today, and I just initiated another password reset request, which I also see your mailserver picking up and accepting.
@mvilain which I suspect means it's hiding in a spam folder

@jerry The password reset email came through and my account is now active. Thanks.

When I was doing IT and someone asked "What happened?", I pull out my Standard Answerβ„’:

There was shpilkis in the geneckicazoik.

@mvilain yes. usually I say that I'm running low on router fluid.
@jerry That's the networking people. I stick to the servers and storage. They still complain.
