This music was composed for a documentary (still in progress) remembering the 50th anniversary of the coup in Chile. It has four main sections; horror, sadness, a new hope and a commemoration of the victims. The helicopter was added as part of the music as a reminder of the bodies thrown into the sea. Samplers of Mapuche instruments were used as well as typical rhythms of local religious festivities. In the final motif I used a music box with the theme Spring by Vivaldi with a series of sound processes. This is because these events began during the spring of 1973. Foto: Chas Gerretsen
