Wanderingmoon@kwheaton @geneadon.social @[email protected] are there sites that do not charge for digital newspaper collection? I am currently looking more in-depth to families I have names, birth and death information on. I am looking for stories about life during that time period. wv culture sites image links are all broken. Is there a way I can view them?
@Wanderingmoon @geneadon.social @genealogy Yes. One is the National Archives Chronicaling America. It's not as extensive as Newspapers.com but its good. If you are looking at a specific locality try contacting the local library. They can usually tell you if their collections have been digitized. Foreign Language papers are often available through Universities or Archives. Both good generally. I have a list I prepared for a class I can email you if you message me.
