Doing a lot of reading betwen the lines here, but it smells to me like the so -called "whistleblowers" were doing tfg's bidding to "find" dirt on RHB & when the POS lost the election an effort was thrown together by them & slimeball repub's to salvage their witch hunt. The new people at DoJ smelled a rat & got rid of the mess but the slimeballs, like in "whack-a-mole" just pivoted to claiming THAT was a scandal. They are lucky there are so many far more critical crimes to pursue!

@emptywheel If I'm understanding correctly, you're saying that the Justice Department couldn't pursue certain lines of prosecution against Hunter Biden because Barr's team had broken the rules in developing the case and tampered with evidence in illegal ways?

@emptywheel if this case goes to trial, the discovery will be wild. It sounds like Shapley and Ziegler violated Hunter Biden's rights.
