Indonesia is soft blocking via DNS only, very easy to bypass.

redcalciumThat depends on the ISP. The biggest one (which is also state-owned) performs deep packet inspection (if you browse without https and the HOST header contains a blocked domain, the request will be blocked), transparent DNS redirect (you thought you’re querying 1.1.1.1, but the request is actually answered by the ISP’s DNS server), and sometimes full IP ban for sites that really pissed some government officials off (xhamster used to get this IP ban, not sure why it got the special treatment, but the government officials made a statement about blocking certain hamster site on TV).
