Bug-out bags aren't just for Doomsday Preppers.

Have some stuff packed and a second location planned.

The Rwandan Genocide occured in 100 days, but they mainly used machetes and clubs.

The #Fascists could kill millions in half of that.

I can blend-in if I need to. I worry SO MUCH about all of my #LGBTQ+ friends here.

@SrRochardBunson I think the fascists are seriously underestimating the blood lust of those who are absolutely itching to bury fascists.
@OGjester There's a reason that I have become increasingly fascinated with John Brown. 😉

@SrRochardBunson From DV circles, a checklist:

Birth certificate and socsec card
Charger
Change of clothes
Socks and underwear for at least three days
Cash
Photos
Meds if possible/necessary
A sweater and blanket
Pet supplies if applicable
Flashlight/batteries
A small non electronic form of entertainment, it’ll be more boring than you think

@SrRochardBunson you make a great point! And good for disaster preparedness too.

I have a little collection of stuff - hand crank/solar powered radio, water purifying bottle, rechargeable flashlight, lots of candles along with matches, etc.

@SrRochardBunson
Guard those power substations; the attacks keep coming.
Think about bricking electronics belonging to fascists- they don't get to shoot up Planned Parenthood & go home to a cold beer.
@SrRochardBunson the main reason that being armed is important.
Unilaterally disarming is a recipe for disaster, but the libs are fully propagandized.
The left and the right know better, and I believe the right far outnumber the left. The centrist (dems and related liberals) think they are the left, half of the right thinks they are too, so the full gamut of right wing folk are armed.
@SrRochardBunson This seems alarmist- but I can’t shake the feeling it is not. 😒

@SrRochardBunson
YES YES YES

I've taken to keeping mine in my car, and calling it a #gethomebag. You never know what will happen, where you'll be, etc. If you're home and a tornado hits, it's an emergency kit. If you need to bug out, get home, etc.

I cannot say it enough times, this should be the minimum level of preparedness one is at. And be committed to keeping it stocked. There is nothing wrong with pulling a bandage out of it, as long as you replace what you use in a timely fashion.

@BendingUnit @SrRochardBunson

So true. I made one for us and for both my grown kids. Wildfires, tornadoes, floods, political unrest. You never know.

@SrRochardBunson

I look like an inbred MAGA hick. I will fit right in unless they notice my fingers and toes count up to twenty.

@SrRochardBunson

But they might not be able to count to twenty, either way I feel safe. I might go on the warpath if the MAGA hicks cause my social security and Medicare to end.

@SrRochardBunson lotta folks overdo this. You probably shouldn't carry the world with you, and I think considering the state of the world the realistic scenario is a need to rapidly leave the country.

I suggest an overnight bag with two changes of clothes, your identity documents, a list of important contact information, and some cash. Assume it will be unsafe to use your devices most of the time. Have an agreed on rally point for your family.

@thekitmalone @SrRochardBunson I second this!

And add: Don't forget any important meds, there should be a supply for a couple of days at least

@SrRochardBunson
I am not bugging out, I am not blending in. I'm old, I live on the second floor, two windows and a door says I can stand my ground until they get me. I'm taking out as many of those boogers as I can, and tossing them over the railing. Let the bodies hit the floooorrrrrr.
