He's wanted to make X.com a thing for over 2 decades now and it's why he was kicked out of PayPal. It's LITERALLY WHY he was removed from PayPal.
His entire life is two things. Sophomoric 69/420 humor and naming things X. Hence SpaceX actually being "Space Sex".
But he's stubborn. So he'll blame lawyers or say the full redo is coming when it's ready and this was a test.
