Anyone else ever had a Magic Trackpad stop sending haptic feedback?

Mine is not “clicking” anymore and I’m wondering if it’s dying

I ended up replacing my trackpad 💀
@matthewcassinelli I’ve had that happen once or twice but was fixed with the normal annoying un-pairing/re-pairing routine
@matthewcassinelli you are not running BetterTouchTool, right? Possibly try to run it once and add a gesture, it calls the functions to enable haptic responses. If it works afterwards you know it's a software issue (unless you are talking about a Magic Trackpad 1, in which case it's always hardware)
@matthewcassinelli I’ve had this happen before and had to replace it. New one worked fine so think it was - fault with the trackpad. Strange to think even a phantom click can stop working!
@matthewcassinelli yep, mine did! Seems to come back randomly, but mostly dead. I’ve gotten used to it.
@michaelseager @matthewcassinelli same, super frustrating, sometimes it would just come back and I’d be happy and then randomly it would stop again.
@matthewcassinelli Mine does this, regularly, use it "only" on an iPad. However, no touch position is passed to the iPad anymore, so it's as if the Magic Trackpad has completely crashed. Turning it off and on always helped until now. Has been less overall but I still experience it at least monthly.

@matthewcassinelli it happened to me last week. I unpaired it and re-paired it and that did the trick.

It was annoying and it happen gradually but very fast, like in the period of a few hours.

@matthewcassinelli My old trackpad’s haptics started getting weaker but I didn’t wait for it to stop before replacing it. It was several years old and didn’t match my keyboard so I was ready for a new one anyway.
@matthewcassinelli Mine was losing responsiveness and then I noticed that the battery was swelling.
@matthewcassinelli yep. one of mine broke a while back. Works for a second after pairing. then stops

@matthewcassinelli Yes, totally!!1!

Oh wait no it was my relationship
