PulsarI set up my own Mastadon instance. This is a test post to see how long it takes for it to show up on the other timeline.
Evidently, quite a long time. I guess that's the downside to a private server with low federation. I'll have to play around with it more tomorrow.

@oceanotter Yeah, it's going to show up here right away because we're both on meow-social. But I was waiting to see how long a post from here shows up on my own server. I think I need to wait a few hours, maybe overnight to give it time to catch up

@KinkyKobolds I'll probably give that a try soon. Right now I've run into a weird snag where I can't follow my NSFW account from this account, and no posts from this account make it over to that one even though I am following from there. I'd like to figure out what's going on before I start boosting that account all over.
@pulsar That is weird. Do you mind DMing me the account(s) you're struggling with connecting? I can look into it and ask the other admins if something's up.
Mink of the End@pulsar It appears like your follow from the other account to this one is awaiting approval? In which case it's probably not gonna ship any posts yet.
@MinkOfTheEnd Do you mean approval to follow you specifically? Or some more general approval at the server level?
@pulsar When I look at your followers or my followers, it shows your other account with an hourglass next to it, hovering over it says it's awaiting approval. So maybe just something that needs to percolate yet, or some kinda misconfiguration that stops it from going through.
@MinkOfTheEnd Yeah, I've been seeing that too. But there are no pending requests for approval on the other server. It took over an hour, but eventually my own personal follow did go through. I think it'd just taking a while to catch up because it's such a new server.
@pulsar Ah yeah, if it's going through with time, then I guess it's just spinning up or something.
