Kozu 🌵Still getting the hang of this whole fediverse thing, how does the local vs global feed work? Local seems to only include meow.social posts, but my global feed is still dominated by furry accounts. Unless Mastodon really is furries all the way down, I assume that means it's not just a live feed of every single federated instance.

@KozuFox Global is the firehose of what -everyone else- on the server follows. Nothing's going to show up on there unless someone somewhere else on this server followed that poster.

Is it possible to follow the local or global feeds of different servers? Or would you need to create a different account on those servers to do that?
@KozuFox The latter, at least for now. But there are a few third party apps out there that can let you put it all onto a single screen if you're on desktop.
