@sarahzedig but then-- and i hate to frame it this way, because it makes me feel like an aging hipster prick-- i am guessing a lot of younger fans who Weren't There want The Homestuck Experience but want it to exist on the bleeding edge of Now and not the historical period when it was formed. this is the problem with having a massive cultural event formed around a work of media that has gotten so eroded with time. it's the World's Most Photographed Barn thing in White Noise all over again
