I've been saying for a while that Republicans have serious problems with Gen Z.

Good to see that veteran Democratic pollster Celinda Lake made this point at length in a recent WaPo op-ed.

Republican elites know this as well and it's why they are so desperately trying to amass as much power before the Boomer Republicans fade away https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/07/19/gen-z-voters-2024/

2024 won’t be a Trump-Biden replay. You can thank Gen Z for that.

Every year, 4 million Americans turn 18 and gain the right to vote. And unlike previous generations, Gen Z votes.

@mattsheffield there's obviously a lot more to this than just polls but its nice to read something hopeful for once lol. I'm lucky to have some zoomer friends thanks to school and work and they're some of my favorite people. Sure some will believe anything they see on tiktok or wherever but thats every generation.
@mattsheffield Those darn kids! They'll probably save our collective ass.

@mattsheffield

Also note the spikes of "NOTHING MATTERS" and "BIDEN DOES NOTHING ACTUALLY" that sweeps younger areas on-line.

Blunt that youth vote doing in their self-interest.

@SatelliteOfLove Yes. That rhetoric is being funded and promoted by the radical right. They want to discourage and confuse young people any way possible.
