@hybridhavoc it's crazy, Twitter is dying by the minute. You'd think Bluesky would be increasing the invite codes to get people in by the busload but you can't even GIF reply or post video yet.
I can see why people are there though, the sign up is simple compared to Mastodon, which puts a lot of people off, who just don't understand the fediverse.
I really used to like TwitterofTime but not spotted it on Bluesky.
@Rachael The frustrating thing about things being easier there - the sign up, navigation, etc - is that it's mostly because the site is still half-developed. If there is ever another AT protocol service, there goes "don't have to pick a server" as a benefit. There's no way of knowing what the workflow for anything federation related will be like, because it's just not there yet.
With that said, there are two features from there I like: subscribable feeds, and custom domain in the handles.
@hybridhavoc
I think they are both the best points you've picked. I just found a Wheel of Time feed to add to my feed but it's pretty sparse.
Everything is so bare bones at the moment. It needs more users to generate more feeds like The Expanse, Andor and all the media people generally know and love.
I don't know much about the tech side. Just how to use whatever is put in front of me.
@hybridhavoc
I just did a search for 'Wheel of Time' in the search box and the top post was from a Dev advertising a feed he'd set up 4 days ago with a link to his feed.
