Screen is completely black, so good luck with the USB OTG mouse trick. Phone is a Galaxy A8 (2018).
woodvaleif you had usb debugging enabled before it died, you can use scrcpy to mirror phone’s screen to your desktop
First thing I do when I get a new phone these days is turn on ADB and then authorize my PC. Saved my butt with broken screens a couple times now using scrcpy or similar past programs.
With phones being encrypted so much these days, short of an unlocked bootloader or replacing the broken screen, you aren’t getting anything off them.
