Screen is completely black, so good luck with the USB OTG mouse trick. Phone is a Galaxy A8 (2018).
AndiYou’ll need an OTG MHL adapter that has HDMI out as well as USB for your mouse.
Hook up to a TV, and it should just work. Samsung have had this feature for a long time and the A8 does support it.
I happen to have a monitor with Type-C input and built-in USB hub. At worst, I'll just have to enable USB data transfer without seeing.
