Absolutely nothing about directing hate and shame at overweight people helps reduce obesity as an issue. All it does is actively harm the lives of the people who do have health reasons that cause it while driving those in this situation into mental health problems that exacerbate poor eating habits. It is extremely well established that this kind of shaming has the opposite effect, it makes the problem worse. It causes overweight people to eat more and it creates mental health problems for those that can not help it across society.
