@mattblaze Another note: I'm old enough to remember when left-wingers around the world saw both Mickey Mouse and Barbie as symbols of everything wrong with US capitalism, US consumerism, and US mass culture. I don't think they ever got nearly as ridiculous about it as the global right-wing is getting now, though.
