There are no white people in the Bible. Take as long with that as you need.
@LadyDragonfly
There are no Semitic people in the far more entertaining and philosophically rich Iliad or the Odyssey.
Aren't there Roman soldiers in the New Testament? A lot of people who live here in Central NY don't really consider Italians white, though, so I suppose it all depends on your perspective.
I'd also note that the population of Israel is white, with far less Semitic DNA in their genes than the Palestinians they stole the land from. The Zionists of Israel are northern Europeans.
@Threadbane take longer.
@LadyDragonfly
Now I'm confused. What point are you trying to make here that fascist Xian nationalists think Jesus was mostly Saxon and they made him King of Jews because of his blond hair and blue eyes?
@Threadbane take a little longer.
@LadyDragonfly
You seem to be serious about white people thinking people in one or both of the Bibles are white, as if Xians being ignorant is some sort of personal revelation. I'd say the OT oral traditions of the Hebrews would be highly unlikely to contain references to white people, because the Hebrews never even HEARD of white people, for the same reason the traditional stories of the Plains Indians don't have any Hebrews.
@Threadbane a look through these comments reveals a fair number of people who are having a real problem with the fact that there are no white people in the Christian Bible. None. Not a one. Not Pontius Pilate. Not Paul. Not the Galatians. Not the Ephesians. Definitely not Jesus Christ. Not. One.

@LadyDragonfly @Threadbane

Because the concept of "white" didn't exist.

Pilate was a Roman citizen. That was his identity.

@freetoken @LadyDragonfly
By the time the authors of the NT came along, Romans had invaded Gaul, colonized Great Britain, and conquered the ME. The authors were a pretty ignorant lot, but they'd have KNOWN about "white people", they just didn't fit into a story line set in the ME, plus they labeled people by their origins, eg, Romans, Greeks, Egyptians, etc, instead of skin color. White Xian nationalists believe all kinds of weird shit, and even regular Xians believe the total BS about Herod.
@Threadbane @freetoken I guarantee you ancient Romans didn't "know about white people" - for the same reason they didn't "know about Pokemon" or "know about Taylor Swift". Take longer.
@LadyDragonfly @freetoken
I already said that. I guess we're going to go 'round and 'round with this silly guessing game involving Xian superstitious nonsense based on either the oral traditions of Iron Age nomadic goat herders or the fictitious adventurers of Jesus in the Holy Land, somehow intertwined with outdated racial concepts. I still have NO idea what you're getting at that is in any way an original perspective, whatever it is you're getting at. Try harder? You're not trying at at.
@Threadbane @freetoken I guess you're not willing to spend some time and expect other people to do the work for you.
@LadyDragonfly @freetoken
Do WHAT work? What the HELL are you getting at? Are you beating the dead horse that Xians in US are total ignoramuses, that America is a nation of morons? Old news. *I'm* the one trying, while you type out "Try harder", smiling Seraphically and eating mental bonbons. What's your point, that there are no white people in the Bible(s), but that there are brain dead Xians who think Jews in the Bible(s) were white, but that white Jews from Northern Europe are not?
@LadyDragonfly @freetoken
I see you doing no work whatsoever, just being obtuse. Your feeble attempt at the Socratic method is merely frustrating, not even offering a single clue as what you're trying to "teach" me. It seems more and more likely that you think the Bible(s) have some sort of supernatural value and we're all fools not to recognize your piercing (but secret) insight, that through self-reflection and "trying harder" I'll attain enlightenment and believe in your fictional Jesus.
