my friend @gaz is helping one of her friends (i'll call her "X", because i don't know her name) through some absolutely horrific stuff right now, so i offered to post this for them. details coming up in the next paragraph.
@gaz and X spent today together, and returned to X's place only to find that her dog had passed away horribly while she was out. X has been suicidal for a while and her dog was basically her lifeline, and now that's been taken away from her in an extremely traumatic way. @gaz helped clean things up and is currently taking care of X so she won't be alone this evening. X's parents are on their way, but it's a 6-hour drive.
even though X has some support from family and friends, it might not be enough. she's in crisis mode right now and is looking for a mental health inpatient program/center in or around raleigh, north carolina. if anyone who sees this has personal experience with a good inpatient place in that area (or knows someone who does), please let us know by replying to this post, and we'll pass those recommendations on to X!
boosts are welcome and appreciated.
(and also, please give your pets a hug and tell them you love them.
