Not that it (or anything at all) will change wingnut minds, but slavery is the very definition of human trafficking, and I can’t understand how these lunatics can be so wound up over that, and yet pretend not to see it when it comes to slavery.

I mean, say the words “human trafficking” to a MAGA wingnut, and they lose their minds. Say “slavery,” and they’re all “there were good masters, though.”

@KagroX @DrJackBrown A lot of these right-wingers rushing to put a positive spin on slavery are also nationalists. And honestly looking at national atrocities like slavery, the Trail of Tears, and the internment of Asian-Americans and immigrants during World War 2 shatters the rose-tinted delusion at the core of nationalism.
