Huh.

Google offered me the "opportunity" to sign up for advanced protection against phishing attacks. What exactly were they offering? It took two clicks to find out that they wanted to read every webpage I clicked on, every email, every message, they wanted to track EVERYTHING.

Dear Capitalist Surveillance:

I know I use Gmail, Google Photos, and Google Maps. But I use Brave and DuckDuckGo, I use ad and cookie blockers. I am not signing up for MORE surveillance that I already have.

@sigridellis my policy is if it touches googles servers in any ways its not private and as such advance protection doesn't have enough cons for me so I enabled it because I would rather google read my emails then some hacker

@Spellbind0127 That's how I feel about Google Maps and location tracking, yep. I just balked at the advanced phishing protection. I feel that everyone has to make the surveillance decisions that are right for them.

And, that's NOT sarcastic! I genuinely believe that.
