shotgun_ninjaTrue, but it’s mostly replaced coal generation, with at least one major coal plant that I’m aware of (PPPP in Kenosha County) being completely shuttered and demolished in the last decade. Natural gas generation isn’t clean or carbon-neutral, but it produces significantly less carbon emissions than coal.
