Went into engineering in aerospace, then in energy, then did automstion in manufacturing, then did government work for a while, now I work in tax as a specialist. I get bored then change careers every few years. Want out of this current job but don’t know what to do and don’t think I can swing another pay cut.
FWIW: i heard of plenty qualified engineers turning to full-time VTubers, YouTubers or pop-culture entertainers of all things.
Now i am not suggesting you should consider trying whoring yourself on the Internet or anything, the point is that in this day and age there’s probably some bizarre direction you haven’t consider yet.
I did get paid for doing product review years ago, but my reluctance to use my name for advertisements or take payment for only positive reviews and the fact I was reluctant to make videos (because shy/private) kind if made me irrelevant. Also… I have a kid now, so I can only do things that guarantee a paycheck and within the time frame that daycare is open. I’m bored as fuck, but I make a good salary and keep it strictly 40 hours per week and normal business hours. I’m not allowed to go a minute over.
