Browsing through the Kindle bookstore yesterday, I noticed a lot of stuff was written by AI. That would be a lot of terribly written stuff. Pronouns mixed up in the same sentence, confusing timing sequences, etc. Maybe this isn't new but to me, it was surprising. What's the point of this? Baffling.

Ironically, humans aren't their target audience. It's the equivalent of click farming for website ads.

Goes like this:
- generate crappy ai book
- publish book on KU
- get page reads using bots
- m.b. get some people to download the crappy book, read a few pages at most, and delete it

Since KU pays per page, presumably they're hoping to stay under the radar long enough that they get a buck or two before getting banned.

Multiply this by 500 books in an attempt to earn $500.

@Brian_Mahoney Yeah I mean there's already plenty of substandard reading material for 99 cents on there which I'd never think of downloading.
