The latitude bounds of Great Britain, around the globe.

The green glow over land is the latitude of Edinburgh. It looks like it's in the middle, is that right?

Today I found out that Edinburgh is only just over half-way up this latitude range (52%).

Mind blown. I live in the Midlands! 😀

Yeah, just off the top of my head the UK is very roughly between 50 and 60 degrees north and Newcastle is at 55 degrees I think.

I live in Sheffield which is just about considered to be in the north of England, and that's only 1/3 of the way up!
