Somehow I never got the message that I was supposed to "grow up." I never got married, I never had kids, and I never bought a house. And I find nothing duller than sitting in a roomful of people my age as they discuss their mortgages, their 401(k)s, their boats, their grandkids, reality TV, etc. Don't any of these people collect records or watch "Star Trek?" Geez!

Somewhere along the way, my generation became old and boring. I just hope I haven't.
