The safest thing you can do by far is to leave, but obviously that’s not an option for everybody.

They put campaign ads with government buildings blowing up on top of the poor. They send police forces to beat the hell out of protesters, natives, and union workers. They speak of dividing the country. They speak of giving up our resources. They speak of doing away with the laws for LGBT+ people, of which I am one.
I will not take the hit just because they are scummy and I should be a saint. The whole “they go low, we go high” mentality is why we’re in this mess.
