Kayryn@CatherineRussell2 I’m focusing on Twitter and BlueSky. On a road trip now and posting about it on those two and basically just ignoring this place bc, frankly, it seems dead here. BlueSky I haven’t completely given up yet, though it doesn’t look great. The invitation system is too slow.

Claire Hayward@CatherineRussell2 I do pop over to the alternative platforms from time to time, but I have to say, the majority of my time is still spent on the Bird. Even with its flaw, I still find its better the devil you know. Let us all ponder on it some more shall we...

I have problems with the idea of staking everything on a bazillionaire (or a megacorp), so I expect to always keep a foot in on Mastodon. That’s also why I have my own domain name and simple website and my email that is not tied to another service.
I’ve had the same domain name and email address for 25 years without committing myself to any other brand. Why shouldn’t my social media network be the same way?
