@animenur They're definitely intentional reflections of each other. They're incredibly similar to each other in many ways, yet polar opposites in other ways. It's what makes the dynamics between them so fascinating. They both want to be the best pirate they can be. They're both in love with who they think Blackbeard/Ed Teach is, though I question if Ed has shown his full, true self to either of them or if he only lets them see what he wants them to see.
