I usually only block absolute trolls. As it turns out, I have blocked more instances than individuals. Most of those are tiny though; basically dedicated troll servers.

@TheGreatLlama I haven’t come across anything like that. I think I have one person here blocked, but countless ones on other social media 😂
@beaveinflow I mostly find them due to their tendency to harass trans people. Occasionally one of the people I follow will wind up targeted. My instance is pretty good about weeding them out, and yours may be as well. There are some actively maintained block lists that many admins use to keep most of the trolls at bay.
