As if the cheap and customizable plans weren't enough reason to check out #Tello, I just got my first newsletter from them and it uses #AltText, headings, and proper link labels. It's an example of perfect HTML. I shouldn't be so surprised by this, but I've become so used to scrolling through "Link graphic CB3E9JXD..." that I almost reflexively skip over images in my emails now.
@simon yeah we're wit Tello now as well, we were with boost but something went janky as fuck and we couldn't, um, make calls
@simon Do you know anything about Tello's prioritization compared to T-Mobile Connect's $15 plan?
Seems that Tello is a T-Mobile MVNO. Unfortunately, T-Mobile is, for all intents and purposes, completely useless in my neighborhood, but it works great where my parents live, as long as you don't go about 5 miles away. Then it dies horribly.
@BorrisInABox They use QCI 6 through 9. 6 is all their postpaid and prepaid plans, 7 is Tello. So it's a bit behind but (from what I'm told) not significantly worse.
@simon This sounds like a good company that would get my business if I lived in the US. I can't seem to subscribe in Canada.
@douglawlor You can, but you won't get usable service. I use it because it gives me a US number and if I ever go to the US, it'll give me a backup line to use in case something isn't working well with Rogers.
@simon Oh okay. When I went to the #NFB23 convention I bought a data esim from Holafly. I paid $34.00 for 7 days of unlimited data.
