My kingdom for a Palm OS Mastodon client.

...turns out my Palm T|X can connect to my Google WiFi WPA2 network just fine thanks to an update I applied to my T|X ages ago. I want to toot from Palm OS. Please.

What if I run #DOStodon in DOSbox on Palm OS? I mean...

@thomholwerda Then you owe me a screenshot/picture 🤣
@dec_hl Ha of course! I didn't realise DOstodon requires dosbox-staging, though, which sadly - but entirely obviously - is not available for Palm OS. I have no development skills whatsoever, so I can't go much farther from here. 😅
@thomholwerda well, it does not require @DOSBox_Staging exactly, it just requires a #DOSBox with networking support...
@thomholwerda I did some experiments with pLua on my Palm m515. It is definitely viable for an offline batch-type client (using Palm DB sync). An online one would be more difficult because of SSL and image libraries.
@retroprom It's one of those things someone with the right skillset gets sucked into as a fun side project - I hope the recent attention for unusual, retro Mastodon clients will inspire more people to developer clients for odd platforms!
