Self-care: Back to basics - Lemmy.world

Seems pretty dismissive and unhelpful. Cute art though.

This is very cute but should only apply to racoons.

For humans, it seems like those could develop into unhealthy coping skills or even disordered behavior. Why not read a book, take a walk, write a journal entry, do breathing exercises, or any number of other things?

Do you want me to be 500lb?
This a sure path to depression, don’t do that. Ask how my fat ass know.
Workaholism .... whenever I feel bad about anything or anyone ... I just work endlessly with my hands and manual labour .. nothing like shovelling dirt or hammering nails to make you forget the world for a while ... plus you end up with something you fixed, repaired or built in the end
A.k.a. having and enjoying a hobby, which sounds a lot nicer than being a workaholic haha
This is some super shitty advice fam
OP is spamming multiple instances w8th this crap

I know people are dunking on this but this is extremely accurate to my life, specifically. I wonder if this is for neurodivergent people like me, and not good advice for our more neurologically typical fam.

I actually realized a couple of months ago that if I'm feeling like everyone hates me, I might just be tired, and it has really helped!

Help I can’t sleep with the water running and my food is soggy!
