3 years ago today I got the worst phone call of my life. My brother's 17yo son had taken his own life with a gun. Afterward I thought we were going to lose my brother too. Today we honor Walt's memory with love we can never give directly to him again. #LLW

Today I combine my pain from the loss of my nephew and my love for my trans child and their friends, and I advocate for the right of parents and children to be allowed to choose gender affirming care.
