I didn't know #KevinMitnick and only met him once. It was a strange "meeting my hero" moment. I was well into adulthood but was thrown back to feeling like a late-teenager.

I'm sure the awe and excitement was clear on my face. I just wanted to shake his hand, I told him, wanted to thank him for what he had done, wanted to show empathy for what he had gone through.

I guess it was a common occurrence for him. He had some sort of manager with him like famous people do. Kevin handed me his business card--a credit-card sized lockpick set. I still carry it...why not? You never know when you might need it.
