yes im definitely enjoying this game so far! such a breath of fresh air after the huge slog that was ffxvi. i needed a reminder that rpgs can actually be good!!

I’m really enjoying the ride the soundtrack has been taking me on. Snappy jazz battle music? Accordion in the mines? Sure okay I’m down!

I like the turn order boost mechanic. Figuring out how to manipulate the order to get the boosts you need and avoid letting the enemy have bad ones. Sometimes you have to make a tradeoff to accomplish that, which is neat.

Man there are some real cozy little towns in this game

I really like how so far every character (with a portrait) has had a chance to shine in the writing in their own way
