lol thanks for the autocomplete github copilot i know
@phocks is copilot worth it?
@Person I'm just trying it out for a while, because I got access to the beta of their chatbot test. I'd say it's almost worth it. You just need to temper your expectations and use it as a tool to help learning and not expect it to solve every problem you have.
@phocks please tell me this is real
@dylanhall It's real. I was actually about to type โ€œFunction" but accidentally typed โ€œFuc" and then this popped up ๐Ÿ™ƒ
@phocks genuinely helpful. may have to try it again.
@phocks @dylanhall Once when I typed `// TODO: `, copilot completed with something like, "clean up this hack". ๐Ÿ˜‚
@JosephTLapp @phocks what i want to know is, if it the code isn't a horrifying hack, does it suggest the same text? ๐Ÿค”
@dylanhall @JosephTLapp couldn't tell ya. I only write code that is horrifyingly hacky ๐Ÿ˜
@phocks Coding assistance at its absolute best!
@phocks I see I am missing out on a lot...
@phocks really? They have no filter for comments like this, wow. Not that I mind, when I have those thoughts, this kind of thing would make me feel less alone... lol.
@phocks for me it autocompletes every "//" with "This is a bit of a hack" and I'm mostly just offended that it so consistently underrates my hacks.
@numist haha yes I get that a lot too!

@phocks
Tired: Integrate SonarCloud to your codebase.

Wired: Check Copilot autocomplete to see how fucked your codebase is.

@phocks fuck yeah, Svelte!

@phocks ๐Ÿ˜„ now I'm worried an AI can actually replace me
