Imagine the cheek liberals have in telling people "incrementalism works." They never can seem to understand why folks are so upset to the point of riot. They sell people on reform and tell them that "the system works." They turned paradise into Hell, set up "the system" to maintain certain privileges, use the state to violently oppress workers, & then with smug arrogance proclaim "the system works if you work within the system." So infuriating. 🤬
@airisdamon it’s just as ridiculous as tax cuts for the wealthy and trickle down theory from the right wing.
@lastbenonison I'm pretty inclusive when I use the term "liberal."
@airisdamon among the many challenges Americans face, courage to solve problems is number 1. I believe they (Congress) is afraid of losing the tools they use to divide US.
@lastbenonison Whenever primary and general elections rolled around, I would witness tons of bullying from voters. They were especially vicious to people who've had enough and wanted to vote based on integrity and principles. They would say patronizing phrases like "don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good" and "vote the lesser evil." I took that as an ominous sign that something was dangerously wrong. Many Americans have abandoned democratic principles out of desperation & cynicism.
@airisdamon I have been there. I vote the ‘lesser evil’ because it’s a ‘no’ vote for evil. I’m hoping for stronger progressives as this younger generation starts realizing apathy is not an option. I hoped ( as a boomer) that our generation would bring an end to poverty and bigotry, we failed. My hope is with generations I’ll never see, social media exposes the inequalities along with the bullying. Look beyond the detritus.

@lastbenonison It was good talking with you. I found a YouTube channel you might be interested in. He's a documentary film maker from your time.

Please. To help me to continue my efforts to post a video a day from my archive, support me at www.patreon.com/allinaday or at www.paypal.me/davidhoffmanfilms. I have been making documentary films and working on film crews–now video crews of course–since I was 21 years old. I am now 82 (June 2023. I love real people and while I enjoy filming and doing interviews with famous folks, is the ordinary people and their wonderful extraordinary lives and stories that most fascinate me. I made this YouTube channel to share my work with others–thinking of 3 generations. Mine. Those people now in their forties and fifties. And millennials. I have very supportive of my subscribers and communicate with them as often as I can. My hope is to continue to grow my channel and someday make my living from my YouTube clips and the advertising YouTube allows. Thank you. www.whoisdavidhoffman.com
