New toy this week. Definitely storing this without a battery pack inserted.
@mattgemmell nice! I just bought a Kreg track saw 😅
@mark_sabbatical Saves the space you’d need for a table saw! I actually have a 2400mm track coming this evening to use with the circular. I assume yours is a plunge saw?
@mattgemmell Let us know how it is, please. I have the same one but no track. Definitely considering it, though.

@marsadle It’s the Evolution track I got (1400x2). Some pics here of the DeWalt DCS570 sitting on it. I think it’ll work REALLY well, sitting up against the fence on the left!

Little bit of extra blade clearance from the tear-out strip (blue oval highlighted in pic), but that’s not a bad thing. Very solid/straight/level, and comes with a carry bag and two track clamps.

I’ll probably make something to hold it against the fence, using the two 12mm x 4mm holes pre-drilled in the saw’s baseplate.

@mattgemmell Thanks for sharing! I was looking for a good track, will definitely check it out.

I was surprised however, how straight I could cut freehand today, cutting flooring. Not for any form of proper carpentry though.

@marsadle Following up on this, I decided to go a different route, and sourced a replacement base/shoe for the saw; the shoe for the DCS572, which is track-compatible. I’ll return the Evo track and get the DeWalt one, since the shoe isn’t compatible with the Evo track. So basically I’ve turned my 570 into a 572 via replacing the part.
@mattgemmell I was wondering about compatibility. Thanks for letting me know. Really appreciate it! 👍🏻
@marsadle Also, if you choose to go that way, the part is N257219 — and don’t forget to square up the saw blade after installing it!
