A massive thank you to Matt Gadient for this post on how to get modern Linux distros working on old 32-bit dirty macs that are otherwise 64-bit capable.

I normally prefer Debian, but to install a server for DaVinci Resolve I've discovered Debian is not happy and i'm trying Ubutnu (because that's what the creator of the tool used).

Thanks to Matt, I was able to load up a Debian 22.04.2 ISO and get it ready for 32-bit dirty booting ;)

Apple's 32-bit EFI implementation on late 2006 Macs makes it tricky to get 64-bit Linux distros installed. Tricky, but not impossible...
