I’m seeing a trend where someone with an account on a social network goes all in to support a single issue, cause, or POV and more often than not, they end up posting takes that miss the forest for the trees and are taken far out of context. Still they attract more like-minded followers. This kind of thinking seems to me to be the headwaters to extremism.
