@Fruan For some reason, it just never occurred to me to just.... try logging in via my browser. I was watching the latest Checkpoint and they mentioned being able to follow hashtags, but that's apparently not a thing on the app, so a Google search later and...
@natedogg Yeah, that's entirely fair. I'm still thrown by these modern new-fangled domains that don't end in cryptic three letter abbreviations.
Rockario@natedogg the desktop column view is definitely my preferred way to use masto. Although I've heard the official app is not great, so even then I either use it in my phone's browser, or use Subway Tooter.
Which is a bit janky, but I've been using it for years so I'm used to it.
